my colleague- yann shuang gave me this link:

http://www.wenyadesigns.com/collection.php?type=earrings

competing with fie japan.. i think i will be overjoyed if i can have any of the items. LOL.

i went out with yann last nite. it was in fact the first time i had an 'outing' with a colleague (how sad it is). anyway, we managed to catch enchanted!~
we decided to go down to lido since it's just below my office. it's been so long since the last time i watched movie there.. had a very funny feeling.
the movie's good. it's kinda stupid, illogical and ridiculous.. but.. it's sweet, simple and hilarious. i think you should hibernate your brain for a while and just enjoy the movie without thinking too much. at least i enjoyed it that way =)
in addition, the dresses that the gal wears in the movie are gorgeous.

yann is a very funny person. she took out lots of stuff from her bag thru-out the movie - pocky, hello panda, sushi... almost like a doraemon. when the movie ended, she made this extremely loud exclamation: "SO NICE!"
i'm sure that the whole theatre could hear that. hahaaha.. it's an enjoyable experience. i should go out with my colleagues more.

note: church prayer meet is tmw (fri) at FCBC marine parade
come to pray.

Things to say and not to say to Standard Chartered Marathon participants during the event itself:

Do Say:
- Looking Strong
- Keep It Going
- Keep Moving Your Arms
- Nice Smile
- Great Legs
- Looking Good
- Way To Go!
- You Inspire
- You're A Winner

Don't Say:
- "Pick Up The Pace!" (especially early on in the race)
- "You're Almost There!" (especially early on in the race)
- "Having Fun?" (when the runner is clearly struggling)
- "Good Job, Only 3 More Hours!"
- "Hang In There. Only 20 More Kilometres To Go!"

amusing. those phrases are taken from their official pamphlet.. not from me.
my crazy sister is going to run 42 km. lol.
for those who want to support.. err.. it's on 2nd dec. check with her ><

***

i've just bought a new phone.. was hesitating between K770i and S500i but at the end i settled with nokia 6120 classic. haha. the decision was made simply because i am broke.
it's good to have a new phone (and it's white!!) considering that my old faithful samsung has been failing me a lot of times recently.
all in all, i'm glad that i could save lots of $$ with this deal.

this pic was taken during our meeting last sunday:

it looks like a family picture or something that ppl would take during chinese new year... but i like it =)

oh my gosh.. thank you thank you thank you thank you......
i think i have just received a link to one of the greatest website.. hahaa!~
www.alluc.org
this is amazing.

i've been having irregular sleep these few days. either too early or too late.. or even not at all. sometimes i wish that i don't need to wake up so early to go to work. i guess when it's rainy season, you just want to stay at home to slack.
we're coming to the end of the year. i tried to look back but couldn't seem to remember what i've done this year.. time has slipped so fast that it's scary.

nic has been asking us out for dinner sessions recently. nic, merv, van and i went to curry restaurant at stamford house on fri and another dinner just now with joseph joining us too. it was a very funny nite. i realized that the guys can seriously make me laugh and vomit blood at the same time (that's a compliment)
anyway, it's fun to just hang out once in a while... to relieve stress.. lol.

recommendation:

movie - beowulf
i thought i was watching rpg.. or god of war game... the graphic is great!~ though the story's weird at certain parts and there's too much blood spilled... i like it.

food - tapas from this spanish restaurant at clarke quay (i forgot the name ><)
it's located just beside CQ bridge, opp the central. i went there with my sis, cousin and her fiancee last sat. love it.. it's nice and affordable.. not to mention that they had a live band playing spanish songs that day..

anime - tengen toppa gurren-lagann
perhaps one of the coolest anime in 2007. i've finished all 27 eps.. sigh.

album - Israel & New Breed: A Deeper Level
just by listening to the first 3 songs, i was convinced that this album rocks.

BBQ on 10th Nov.

we had a combined event with 8A last sat. honestly, i thought that it would rain but the weather proved to be nice and windy.
saw quite a no of unfamiliar faces. i was busy with the food preparation together with van (my first experience haha) and just trying to talk to some ppl that i hardly see.. well especially the 'visitors'
i didn't know that pasir ris park could be that peaceful.. perhaps even better than east coast.
all in all, it was a fun time together. thanks to the committee.. i totally enjoyed the games =)

shuz and i caught 'sugar & spice' last nite.. it's the long awaited japanese movie that she had been wanting to watch..
at first i was not that excited about the movie haha but it turned out to be nice. well.. the story's very simple and it may be too boring for those who are impatient, but there were a few scenes that captured me.. and the life lesson i guess. the story is sooo real that i bet some ppl in the theatre could identify.
apart from that, that movie really made me want to see mt fuji and sakura immediately.. LOL.

anyway shuz, congrats for the end of your student life n welcome to working world!~

alrite, i'm going for my last media training now..

woah what a lazy week.. with holiday right in the middle, i just want to spend time at home sleeping =p
been watching lots of SYTYCD clips, i simply love some of the amazing dances.. it really makes me forget lots of things and just appreciate the beauty or cool moves that these guys have. it has the same effect with music..

susi's bday was yesterday and we managed to spend time together at c-nai.. she lost weight again!! (i'm envious) LOL
anyway susi, weiling and i took bus home together and i can't help but to think that we had a very funny conversation.. weiling was half sleeping though when susi gave me all the interesting encouragement... haha.. anyway i am really happy how God has put these two lovely ladies around me..
think back again, susi is the one who shepherded me for the longest time. i miss those days when both of us were still unemployed. now we're so busy.. oh well...

i have started my xmas shopping. yes.. it sounds too early.. but i've been walking around from time to time and i saw many great things that i know some ppl would love.. so i bought them.. and now i have to keep them for another 1 1/2 mth before i can pass to them ><
i totally enjoy shopping for gifts.. it's a joy to give something to others. maybe that's why i love xmas. a season to give.

i woke up this morning feeling sick and tired. not physically. but mentally. or perhaps emotionally.
the room was so quiet and lots of things suddenly overwhelmed me.. the people that i have met, the ministry that i have done, and there was this sudden urge of wanting to get out of this place.. to another country, to meet other people, to have another life. but i don't have enough money, or perhaps i just don't have enough guts to do it. to just pack and go. anyway, where do i want to go and to do what? and eventually, i will miss all the things that i have here.
i began to wonder how things have changed, or how i have changed. i have become older, stronger but more stubborn as well.. i want to be more independent. i have so much differences in my thoughts compared to others.. and i am not that willing to keep on quiet and follow like how i used to be. there are many things that just don't seem right but i can't put them into words.

i need a good shower and a good worship. yes worship will work... God always do wonders.

i met my long lost friend! haha~

sari (the girl in the middle) was one of my best friend in sec sch. she moved to another town and i haven't seen her again since.. well.. until today.
she just came to spore and somehow she managed to get my hp no from a friend and asked me out for a dinner.
marda, my other sec sch friend, was there as well. we had a great time catching up.. talking for hours.. just enjoying every moment. unbelievable.. it's been exactly 10 years.. there were just too many things to talk about... felt like a sch reunion (though only 3 of us)

lots of my friends have settled down or going to soon.. perhaps i'm the only one left in the class who is still unattached. hahaha.. it's funny that i feel good about it.
something that they shared made me wonder though. sari has been dating someone for 7 yrs, marda for 3 yrs.. and both of them said that the relationship with their 'partners' has turned into something stagnant or even boring that it kinda scares them.. cos there's no excitement and passion anymore.. it's almost like they are still with their boyfriends just because it's too much hassle to find a new one.
is relationship with God the same way too? when you have served Him for many years, it will become stagnant and boring.. and the reason why you are still doing it is purely because it has already become a part of your daily life, something that you go through without having excitement and passion anymore. how scary it is.
we gotta watch out for the fire in our heart. seriously, it gotta keep on burning.

another highlight of the day would be the soccer match.
some of us went all the way to tampines just to 'support' es as he and his team played against old uni/tertiary players. think the guys had fun. LOL.

esmond's getting ready to play while the 2 ladies err... trying to find a less sunny spot.

merv's in action (joseph was somewhere around)
it's good to have such great camera.. being able to zoom all the way to the other goalpost... compared to mine... LOL.. my camera couldn't even zoom half of it.
anyway, thank God for 2 of them to come down, they took many nice pictures of the match.

HPL aka Hope Premier League had been officially announced now. it's time for the guys to have exercises, not to mention a great way to bond with one another.. the most impt thing is of course to reach out to more ppl out there!~ ^_^

stardust

i have just watched this with weiling and we are simply loving it!!!

those who enjoy fantasy and fairy tales gotta watch this.. and i think michelle pfeiffer acts really really well. she scored another point =p

the movie date was pretty spontaneous.
i was reading newspaper (life) as i waited for my turn to have my regular eye check-up this morning, then i realized that this movie is finally out! i haven't been going to cinema for the past 2 mths so decided to call weiling up for this.. and she was just about to sms me to ask the same thing.. hahaa..

i spent my whole afternoon in the library as i waited for her. came across this soccer manga series (can't remember the title), it got me hooked for 5 hrs. lol.
orchard library is a great place, pity that it will close down end of this month.

the weight of my pendant

i totally agree with merv who loves to blog about his woes on bus/mrt. the problem with public transportation (early in the morning) is unreasonable ppl.
there was this one guy this morning who wanted to alight from the train, annoyingly repeated "excuse me" to me who happened to stand in front of him. but the train was so full, how could i give way to him when the train has not even reached the station and stopped? unless he wanted me to rip the door open and jump off the track. so i glared at him and said "HOLD ON!". that kept him quiet.
after a few seconds, i realized that i might have been too 'harsh'. especially with the cross pendant that i'm wearing, indirectly showing ppl that i am a child of God whom by right shouldn't be hostile to anyone.

fruit of love and patience.

i told myself to cool down. maybe the guy was running late for his work or perhaps he needed to go to the loo.. or for whatever good reasons.
but seriously, giving benefit of doubt to these strangers are tough job.
maybe they are just simply kiasu.

to be more like Jesus.. sigh.. i have a long way to go.
