sari (the girl in the middle) was one of my best friend in sec sch. she moved to another town and i haven't seen her again since.. well.. until today. she just came to spore and somehow she managed to get my hp no from a friend and asked me out for a dinner. marda, my other sec sch friend, was there as well. we had a great time catching up.. talking for hours.. just enjoying every moment. unbelievable.. it's been exactly 10 years.. there were just too many things to talk about... felt like a sch reunion (though only 3 of us)
lots of my friends have settled down or going to soon.. perhaps i'm the only one left in the class who is still unattached. hahaha.. it's funny that i feel good about it. something that they shared made me wonder though. sari has been dating someone for 7 yrs, marda for 3 yrs.. and both of them said that the relationship with their 'partners' has turned into something stagnant or even boring that it kinda scares them.. cos there's no excitement and passion anymore.. it's almost like they are still with their boyfriends just because it's too much hassle to find a new one. is relationship with God the same way too? when you have served Him for many years, it will become stagnant and boring.. and the reason why you are still doing it is purely because it has already become a part of your daily life, something that you go through without having excitement and passion anymore. how scary it is. we gotta watch out for the fire in our heart. seriously, it gotta keep on burning.
another highlight of the day would be the soccer match. some of us went all the way to tampines just to 'support' es as he and his team played against old uni/tertiary players. think the guys had fun. LOL.
esmond's getting ready to play while the 2 ladies err... trying to find a less sunny spot.
merv's in action (joseph was somewhere around) it's good to have such great camera.. being able to zoom all the way to the other goalpost... compared to mine... LOL.. my camera couldn't even zoom half of it. anyway, thank God for 2 of them to come down, they took many nice pictures of the match.
HPL aka Hope Premier League had been officially announced now. it's time for the guys to have exercises, not to mention a great way to bond with one another.. the most impt thing is of course to reach out to more ppl out there!~ ^_^ *livi* 12:56 AM
