i found cardcaptor sakura!

what a pleasant surprise.
i was trying to find something to watch while i ate my dinner just now and stumbled upon this great anime online. as one of the earliest (or maybe first) batch of clamp's production, sakura has always been one of my fave. first played on tv 10 yrs ago, up to today i still remember all the characters and even the opening songs >_<
this sakura and syaoran surely are the inspiration of tsubasa chronicles.

Ten-year-old fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto opens a mysterious book in her father's study and accidentally lets loose the magical Clow Cards. By her ability to open the seal, Sakura is revealed to have special powers, and it becomes her responsibility to retrieve the missing cards. The task involves finding each card, battling its magical personification, and sealing it away.

i'm feeling young again. LOL.

it's sad that i keep on comparing the life here now with how it was in japan.

i was shopping at ntuc the other day. after standing on the queue for pretty long, it was finally my turn. to my horror, the cashier suddenly put a sign of 'cashier is closed, please choose other lane'! or something around that line (can't remember the exact words). i looked at the other lanes, they were all full of people...
i certainly didn't have the time to queue from the beginning again so i pleaded with the cashier to just let me pay for my item (which was only one box of grapes), how hard could it be? i've already queued for soo long and by the way she shouldn't just put a sign like that and expected me to find another lane to queue all over again. what in the world?
the worst thing is the fact that she gave me super irritated look and unwillingness.

at this moment, i had a flash back on the lovely cashiers that i encountered through out my japan trip. they were all full of smiles, extremely super duper polite, they even bowed down (naturally since they're japanese) and yes some of their faces glowed, brimming with joy. no joke. paying has always been quite a pleasant experience.
superb customer service.

i am sad to realize that the ppl in singapore are very unhappy and unfriendly, mostly can be found in mrt stations and any crowded places.

shouldn't we start smiling at one another and be polite?

i wonder if it's because of the weather. hot weather makes one unhappy.

it's finally the wedding >_<

I was not there from the morning but my sis took some very good pictures during the day time.

anyway first of all i have to give big congrats to Wilfred & Nic!!!
am seriously feeling very happy for the couple.

at first i knew Nic as my sis' best friend, they were the golden cover girls for our very own hope's yo magazine friendship edition. LOL.

it was in 2004 when i transfered to ywam that i got to know her better. with the group dominated by guys, she did a greeeat job bonding us together. but it was not long after that she moved on to adults group. when it was finally time for me (and susi, shufen plus bao) to move on to adults, we requested to be in the same cg as Nic cos we knew that's where we wanted to be. LOL. so we did.

i've been under Nic's care for the last few years, she really helped me a lot during my transition period. a great shepherd and a great friend. shepherding and shoperding are always fun HAHA.

Nicole.. thanks for being a good listener, thanks for understanding me well even when i don't say much, thanks for being my fashion consultant and forced me to wear dress (yes i'm getting used to it now. lol), thanks for introducing the bakery game to me! it really got me addicted.. and thanks for praying for me for the job and helping me out with the part time at child care.. and thanks for.. errr.. soo many things.. haha..
thanks for being a friend ^^

the wedding last nite was a pretty magical moment for many of us. i had so much fun, it was a blast. felt a bit like reunion with so many old friends. i was definitely feeling high (even w/o any drinks)
some of us stayed back with the couple after the party and we had an unforgettable closing. LOL!

i am waiting for more pictures from the rest, pleaseee send to mee...

i reached home early today. had a nice extended worship time and since no one was at home, i just sang as loud as i could (ignored the neighbours) lol
i've been feeling unreal since i came back from japan. seriously. i miss the place.
from the moment i woke up, walked to mrt, in office, journey home. i kept thinking about it. this is a serious post holiday syndrome.

first day back to work was really funny. i almost fell down twice on my heels. sounds ridiculous, i was only out for 10 days without heels and now i can't walk properly on it. but it's the truth. lol.
and the weather feels so hot. i couldn't stop perspiring as i walked under the sun. suddenly my office doesn't feel as cold as last time. no more giant freezer.
spore is a great place to live, but now i wish that we have 4 seasons here.

well back to work. my big boss decided to transfer me to another department while i was away on my holiday -_-
the job scope will be different but pay remains the same. oh well. personally, i don't really mind with the change. it's good to learn something new. having new challenges, working under different manager. i'm just sad that i have to change desk from monday onwards. i totally love my current (now previous) desk.
i had a good talk with my manager yesterday. really appreciate the ppl in the company, they are always open and wanting the best for one another. and i have to say that i'm very very happy to know that my big boss loves the exquisite earrings that i got for her from kyoto =P

i will share my holiday stories next time once i get the pictures. since 5 of us carried a camera each, you can imagine the number of pics that we took. need to wait for everything to be compiled first ^^

meanwhile these are the food that make me want to go back to japan again:

ultimate ramen with ultimate ingredients

and

ultimate chou factory's cream puff.

double sigh.

just came back from another unit event. this time we went to labrador park, LOL, a place that i would not imagine going.
anyway elaine brought some of her friends from germany and i met sarah's friend as well. it was a good sowing event and yes we had a good weather too.
my fave part was actually the picnic, where we just sat around eating chips and potato salad, chatting and playing games.. well.. to me, sitting down and relaxing under the tree is the best, especially when i won the game. haha.
then we had dinner together at alexandra area before heading to ikea to meet mei. junhuang had big craving for meatballs.
think again, it's amazing that i could still go out for one whole day.

i shall stop here. time to prepare myself.
one hour to go. woohoo..

livi is away from now until 16 apr.

i decided to go home early last nite after having dinner with mei. i haven't been home early on wednesday for the longest time since we usually have cg on weds BUT not this week, so finally i managed to catch this season's american idol.
feeling pretty outdated about what's going on, i browsed thru the previous clips in youtube.
i found this. and my jaw dropped. seriously.

david cook.
where on earth did he come from?
i remember billie jean. that song was played a lot on tv back when i was still in primary sch. it was nothing like this.

cool beyond words. ok i'm a fan now. GO DAVID!
