i organized 2 movie outings during the weekend and amazingly both were successful (not bad for someone who declared not to be movie organizer anymore)
met weiling and the cg guys for dreamgirls on fri. weiling's nephew david joined us too.. plus joe who just got his driving license (omedeto...). haven't been really spending time talking to him so i was actually glad that we could catch up after the movie. bao and his all time fave harry's.. no one got drunk and i managed to have a glass of nice rum once again >< i got so tired at the end of the day.. headache but definitely not hangover.. so i slept till noon the next day.. lol. friday nite is just great, of course with all the fellowship =p
the movie was good btw.. i personally like it simply because it's entertaining. great song great music and jennifer hudson is GOOD! the ppl at the theatre actually clapped after one particular song. something that you don't see often.
the second movie would be letters from iwo jima. originally planned by me and yaoguo, with good networking from veron also, we managed to gather 13 ppl LOL. it was so fun walking together after the movie, almost like going for a gang fight. as much as i like to be alone in my room with takemoto n friends, having fellowship with real ppl is somehow nice too. guess the only problem is i spent A LOT just for these 2 days. few ppl told me after that we should do this again sometime. so we shall =)
few other interesting things: - spanish class has finally started and i am totally enjoying this. - germs has officially joined our beloved cg, welcome~ - celebrity on the block. apinun is a new rising star =p and i got to know a few ppl from the new unit (yes we are 8D2) from the WFL.
speaking of WFL, i really enjoyed the class. i attended the leadership & character session and we talked about 'faithfulness' on sunday. apart from me, there were 6 other guys in the class and at first i didn't even know their names.. lol.. but it didn't take me long to feel comfortable, the lesson was good and it doesn't really matter whether i was the only girl or not. i was there to learn, to be reminded. i wanna live my life right for God.
faithfulness is a choice. it is about knowing how to prioritise, having the right values and keep to your promises. keep your oath even if it inconveniences you. living a life of integrity.
i want to remember that even though God gives us freedom, it does not mean that i can live according to my own wants and standard. i want to raise the bar, according to His standard. everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. i cannot take freedom for granted. *livi* 5:55 PM
