God's perfect timing. my eye is not getting better, so i went to the doctor and he gave me some 'heavy' medicine and cream.. nic was quite sad that i didn't need to go through surgery like she did last time =p
anyway, with this kind of condition, it's really impossible for me to wear contact lenses (for now) so i gotta count on my specs.. which i broke on tue..... -_-
it fell onto the floor and that's it.
i couldn't see things clearly (obviously with degree of 1000 and 600, who can?) but lo and behold... my dad sent me a pair of new specs all the way from jkt and it came right after i broke my specs. speaking about timing, amazing.
actually my dad has been telling me that he wanted to make new specs for me, since my cousin has an optical shop back in jkt and the specs are really very cheap... so he made one for me and sent it here.
i'm not a big fan of specs. but for now, the specs seems like the best gift i've ever received. at least i can see clearly.
i can't imagine if i'm blind. unable to see is a very scary thing.

i'm in pain.had a bit of eye infection yesterday morning, i gotta wear my specs now.
visited my dentist yesterday too. it's amazing what they can do to your teeth. i love dentist.
i've decided not to drink tea and milo anymore.. well.. maybe i will.. once a month.
my boss just came back from US and bought me 3 gifts. haha i don't know what to say. i hope she travels more. =p
today i tasted the best pretzel ever, coated with chocolate, it's really really heavenly. sadly, it is not sold in spore.

gosh, she looks just like me when i'm grumpy.
arrgh.. the curse of eve is on me again.

i went to SP to look for chan today. it's our first 'shepherding' session =)
gotta admit that the thought of travelling down all the way to dover put me off for a while, but i did what i had to do and it was a great time spent with her. we had a very long conversation to get to know one another haha.. till a point that i forgot the time.
surprisingly, she's also very upfront.
really weird. all my sheep have the same pattern. LOL.

i feel distressed for no reason.sigh.
but i thank God for Easter. it was a great reminder during the ss. the song presentation with the clip was deeply moving, my tears kept falling down as if no one was around.. not like i care whether anyone saw me crying or not. God's love is just amazing.
the 'animation' was very well done.. the youth group rocks big time. i'll try to find the final version to put on my blog one of these days.
i'm thinking more on more on what i wanna do for God. was reading the guide to church planting, how you discern God's leading, etc.. is this really what i wanna do?
do it first then you'll know. just go.
i want to expose myself with more international ppl, culture and countries.. missions.. i don't know how and when, but God will tell me more.
the trip next month will be a beginning. i can't wait actually.
some ppl from my cg and the other cg (D1) went to watch 'freedom writers' together after ss. the movie is good. more than what i expected.
hilary swank has always been one of my fave, she's plain cool. but more than that, the movie left something in my heart. it's just inspiring on what a teacher can do to the students. at the same day, i cried for the second time.
we had a memorable dinner on that day too. defu lane and the legendary crab. LOL. been wanting to go there since ages ago.
esmond is such a good organizer.. we had 21 ppl in total, almost like old ywam reunion.
wenjun's there, reagan's there, val's there... i was very happy.
i guess we gotta thank gerald and tbk for their bday that somehow created this opportunity to gather together. interestingly, our family has grown bigger =p
have i mentioned this before? we're scattered all over the place now but deep down, you guys are still my treasure.

i am burnt.i think i will suffer from body-ache tmw morning.
it's the long awaited sub-d event at west coast park!
this year was definitely more fun as we had more ppl in the event (sub-d has grown much bigger)
the weather was good, well.. maybe a bit too hot.
this was my team with sara as the team leader.
the guys called themselves 'the bullies' cos they totally bullied the other team during captain ball. LOL.
each team had to complete 9 sections. i think we really had fun together, i definitely stretched myself in climbing and running. too bad we didn't win a thing.. but it's ok.. ><
i can't believe that i am the oldest in this pic.
anyway cindy came. hehe....
after that, we went for lunch together with the unit. got to know this gal called sherry too.
then we decided to go to junming's house to chill. he has a lot of manga at home!!!! hahaha.. i saw the latest legend of dragon's son and that's it man.. i forgot everything else =p
anyway i'm glad with how i spent the day today. it's like taking one step closer to bond with the folks from D1, with the movie, citadel and dinner at holland v.
today is the Good Friday.

feelin a bit dead now, it's been a long time since the last time i watched soccer 'early' in the morning. glad that i did though, cos my team won =ptoday i did something rare.
after work i decided to take a lone walk at orchard, dropped by at my fave kino, saw a few interesting things.
first, they showed clover dvd on the tv.. i stood there watching for a while LOL.
second, i saw an extremely nice prince of tennis illustration book. the cover was so cool (totally beyond words) that my eyes just couldn't let go for at least 5 mins.. mesmerized. that's the word.
how i wish i could bring it home.
third, i saw a whole rack of jap magazines with code geass on the covers. i guess it's one of the hottest anime in japan now, too bad i can't read jap, dun understand a word.. sigh.
kino is really a good place.
the next stop was orchard library, spent some time reading as i filled my stomach with meatball spaghetti and iced choc.. the place was really quiet, totally enjoying it.
i used to hang a lot in library (unemployed days), i should do it more often in the future. yup. library is a good place too, the quiet ones.

verbal acknowledgment matters more than material possession.Lord, You are full of surprises.
yesterday i had a good talk with Soh May (my boss) again, she did some 'evaluation' on my performance at work and how i felt about the company. i was exhilarated to hear that my pay is raised (am not going to give treat unless you are my sheep =p), but more than that i was so happy to hear how she and my managers thought about my overall performance during the long probation period.
ok i may be feeling proud now.. my head has grown so big that it almost couldn't enter my room.. LOL...
anyway i do need the acknowledgment.. i've worked hard, learnt hard and did my best. i guess this is how i describe job satisfaction ><
i will be handling more things in the future, been learning more things from linus recently too. he's such a funny 'teacher'. i think i will really miss him when he starts his new job next week. this thu will be his last. what to do.. banking has always been his dream job. we're all happy for him.
today we had a company farewell lunch for him, Soh May generously gave a buffet treat at Orchard Hotel. her original plan was Shangrila buffet but she thought it's a bit too far from office.. sigh... oh well i shouldn't complain hahaa.. the OH lunch was great too and i totally enjoyed the time with my colleagues.
what a blessing.
